Lykke is one of those hidden crypto gems. Not many people have heard about it.
The company was founded and is led by Richard Olsen. He’s the same guy that founded Oanda, an Fx and trading platform.
According to this Oanda is the fourth largest forex broker behind Forex.com, XM.com, and Saxo Bank.
Lykke is building a global marketplace on the blockchain that can all be accessed from the Lykke wallet. Lykke is incorporated in Switzerland the LKK token represents ownership in the company.
Richard believes that forex and trading will all end up on the blockchain. You can check out an August 2016 interview with him here.
Lykke recently release its 2016 annual report.
For 2016 Lykke made 163,891 CHF (Swiss Francs) in operating profits and 957,281 CHF in trading profits. After expenses total losses came to 1.6 million CHF. The losses are not worrisome as Lykke is still ramping up and has 5.4 million CHF cash at its disposal.
Lykke is experiencing rapid growth now, 30% month over month. It’s now up to 11,442 clients across 135 countries.
Key achievements for the year include introducing the first public wallet, two ICOs, launching Lykke Streams and Lykke Accelerator, and integrating the Chonobank TIME token and Ethereum.
Right now with the Lykke wallet you can deposit the following currencies: USD, CHF, EUR, and GBP.
Additionally, you can hold the following crytpocurrencies: BTC, ETH, SLR, TREE, and TIME.
Right now there are 70 pairs available for trading through the Lykke wallet including additional currencies and cryptocurrencies than the ones listed above.
In addition to increasing user adoption the biggest goal of Lykke now is getting the appropriate brokerage licenses.
The company already received a Vanuatu brokerage license and expects one from Cyprus shortly. It’s waiting on applications in Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, and Mexico.

It's not a cryptocurrency, it's a stake in the Lykke Corporation. If Richard Olsen can do with Lykke what he did with Oanda it will be a big winner.

Interesting blog. I was about to start a similair discussion. The decision to buy a coin should be based on real analysis of the coin. I found that people keep buying coins without have any knowledge of them. This is considered high risk. Do you know this interesting site? https://www.coincheckup.com.
