I just saw this opinion piece on The Guardian. I don't agree with it at all. What do you think?

One of the things that struck me most is this:
"The reason why is that it’s not an investment; just as gold, tulip bulbs, Beanie Babies, and rare baseball cards are also not investments."
Well gold has always been an investment, everyone wants gold, so logic is not too big in this article.
It is actually the opinion of Mr. Money Moustache a financial blogger so what he believes probably has less weight than what someone who has actually worked with crypto currency believes. Or maybe he invested in crypto with wrong timing and lost.
