In order to be prepare for the bitcoin August 1 event, I have all my bitcoin in my personal wallet on my desktop.
I also decided to look into a separate Ethereum wallet so I decided to download the "Ethereum Wallet".
As of 7/28/17 at 11:32pm I downloaded the Ethereum Wallet. It is 7/29/17 at 10:22 am and I am still waiting for the blockchain(?) to complete. It is at 4,090,335 of 4,090,545 blocks with 211 blocks to go, I think.
I have Malwarebytes on my Windows 8 system and it did block progrogress. I entered the settings tab and added an exclusion. This seem to move the Ethereum Wallet download but now I am stopped at 4,090,335 blocks.
However, the Ethereum node, I think, is downloading. It is at 14,613,700 of 14,613,956 and still downloading. So there is some activity.
I'll still fiddle around and see what happens.
