2017 Was a Crazy Year for Bitcoin.
Last Spring we gave 12 people $10 worth of #Bitcoin. By the end of the year that same BTC was worth $200. I also gave $100 worth to a fellow Sailor which became $2000 USD. I wonder what all of you did with the BTC? Did you bury it, cash it out, forget about it or use it to make more crypto? Now that your coins are down 70% or so from the high do you feel Bitcoin is finished?
During November-December I must have fielded over 200 messages from people, that never message me, asking about Bitcoin. I have to admit it felt kind of dirty. These people never gave a shit before.
Moral of the story is that the average investor only buys something when everyone is talking about it. That is the path of getting #REKT. We personally have not bought any Bitcoin for our portfolio since early 2016.
We earn 100% in Crypto, live 100% off Crypto and believe 100% in Crypto. This is not just a speculative investment, this is something that can change the world.

I was speculative about Bitcoin for a long time, but finally embraced it as I noticed how Steemit could help people earn money in Steem and how that could be used to trade for a myriad of different cryptocurrencies. There has been a lot of summer FUD, but I think there are some real opportunities opening up for different things. I'd like to see Steem really take off, which I think is still definitely possible. I am thinking ETC could make a big move up and still like various privacy coins which have really been hit hard, but have a lot of potential. All in all, I don't know where this is headed, but I enjoy following the news and seeing things develop.

Still believe the future is strong in cryptocurrencies/bitcoin one needs to be vigilant of change, hold as long as you are able.
