I still remember those days when I was awake late nights in my dorm room back then in 2011 and I came across #Bitcoin on a #Google advert while surfing the web.
I purchased few Bitcoins from an unknown person sitting back in Mumbai. Fewer calls to a stranger, believing him that he’d send me #bitcoins if I would send him money to his bank account.
Those days it was trading @ $1 per #BTC. I purchased Bitcoins worth INR 132 cause back then I was a student and I had merely INR 500 in my bank account. (Every month I had to ask for pocket money from my dad).
I was trying to buy citizenship from a #micronation (name kept secret). They said if you donate us Bitcoins, we would provide you the citizenship. Allotment would happen on lucky draw basis. I sent those #BTC to that nations address. Bad-luck I couldn’t get the citizenship. Had I not sent those BTCs to that address I would have been sitting on a pile of INR1.5 Million right now! However I’m thankful to #Blockchain and #Bitcoin for the learning it gave it to me and because of that I’m being hired by blockchain projects.
Thank You #Bitcoin !
