Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said in an interview that "Bitcoin is purely digital gold". The first virtual currency has become a king among the giants of technology and keeps its dominance over other cryptocurrencies. Although Steve Wozniak has sold most of his assets, he is convinced that in the future, Bitcoin will be a dominant global currency.

Wozniak hopes Bitcoin will become a single global currency

Speaking to CNBC in an interview,Wozniak revealed that it had bought Bitcoin (BTC) when its price was about $ 700 - in December 2016 . At present, this value has increased more than 10 times. However, the co-founder of Apple has sold all his holdings in cryptocurrencies, apart from a Bitcoin and two Ethereum . He wanted at all costs a method of payment that uses the virtual currency without venturing into investment.

Like Jack Dorsey- the CEO of Square and Twitter who said last March that Bitcoin will soon become a single world currency - Wozniak chose a more cautious approach by saying:

"I appreciate what Jack Dorsey says, I do not necessarily think it's going to happen, but I want it to be, it's such a pure thought. "

Bitcoin is unique and pure

The co-founder of Apple is a strong supporter of Bitcoin. From a perspective of a thought experiment, he shared an overview of why he argues that the first and most important cryptocurrency is unique, even though there are more than 1,000 crypto currencies nowadays.

"I strongly believe in mathematics, purity and science ... Bitcoin is mathematically defined. It's pure. There is neither human nor business. For me, it's natural and more important than human conventions, "he told CNBC Monday at the Money 20/20 event in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

"Bitcoin is pure digital gold ... All other crypto-currencies tend to abandon some aspects of Bitcoin - such as being totally decentralized and having no central control. "
Wozniak admitted to losing 7 bitcoins in February. However, cryptocurrency was not to blame for this crime, it was a fraud.

"Someone bought them online through a credit card, and they canceled the credit card payment. It was as simple as that! And it came from a stolen credit card number, so it's impossible to recover, "he reiterated at the time.
