Roger Ver, the owner of Bitcoin.com, could be sued by a group of cryptocurrency enthusiasts. It seems that he is deliberately considering novice investors by exploiting the confusion of beginners with regards to Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. The co-founder of Coindaily.co, known on Twitter as @MoneyTrigz, is the class action organizer.
Anyone can join the discussion about the trial, thanks to the Telegram chatroom called "Bitcoin.com lawsuit / victims. " There are already more than 444 members on the forum, although those who join the trial are unknown for now.
Roger Ver or also called "Bitcoin Jesus," invested prematurely in Bitcoin startups. Initially an avid user of the first cryptocurrency, he turned to his derivative, Bitcoin Cash, later.
Worm would commit a "consumer fraud? "
Bitcoin.com is undoubtedly a popular domain in the Bitcoin industry. Any information relating to the first cryptocurrency is disclosed to the public, via Google, and bitcoin.com is very well referenced by the search engine.
The googling of "buy Bitcoin" gives a first result buy.bitcoin.com. Once the user clicks on the link, the Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) logos are displayed very similarly on the Bitcoin.com home screen. However, the BCH logo is usually green on most platforms, to avoid confusion.
What's more, the Bitcoin Cash is presented at the top without the BCH ticket, which could mislead any newcomer into cryptocurrencies. In fact, a user wrote in the Telegram Group: "It's like selling gold and giving coal to your customers. The latter even alluded to a history of users who sent the BTC to a BCH address and vice versa.
Bitcoin.com has undergone some changes to introduce Bitcoin Cash as Bitcoin. Block Explorer has gone from Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin (BTC) to Bitcoin Core (BTC) and Bitcoin (BCH).
The Bitcoin community was particularly shocked. The supporters of Bitcoin Cash have claimed the merits of cryptocurrency. The BCH can then compete on its own merits without any need to steal the name of Bitcoin.
The "Bitcoin Course" is another example of deception on the site. This page is intended to explain what Bitcoin is and how it works and presents several references to Bitcoin Cash with graphics displaying "Bitcoin" and its logo.
Erik Voorhees, the CEO of Shapeshift, who has long been associated with Roger Ver has distanced himself from it by tweeting:
"Roger - please, stop referring to me to save your opinion that Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin, that's not the case. "The Bitcoin is the end of the chain genesis block with the strongest evidence of accumulated work. "
"The fork of Bitcoin Cash has not managed to win the majority, so it's not Bitcoin. "
The trial gains importance
The Telegram group conversation created by @MoneyTrigz has more than 600 members in a matter of days.Big names like Bitcoin entrepreneurs Charlie Shrem and Richard Heart, Xotika.TV CEO John Carvalho and Ibrea.org founder Ragnar Liftrasir have joined the group to report Bitcoin.com's fraud.

"It's more of a community movement, because that's exactly what it is," says MoneyTrigz, because according to him, nobody is in charge of the initiative. "It's not directed by me. I come to light the flame, that's all. "
"Everyone is frustrated and indignant and you have victims who are losing money because of it. Bitcoin.com has crossed the line, and we are retaliating legally, " he added.
However, a user has called into question the lawsuit by saying: "The use of any government entity in this dispute seems backward, ultimately the markets are the only decision makers. "
John Carvalho replied :
We represent the market. It's not asking the government to do anything. [...] It's * the * market that decides. It's literally putting money into a solution.Do you think Bitcoin.com is committing fraud? Who will win this trial in your opinion? Comment in the comments section below.
About time. I think they are very deceiving. How do you own bitcoin.com and bash bitcoin and promote BTC, that is pestering and deceiving lol. It's also annoying how they bash Bitcoin on their twitter handle. I think Roger Ver will most likely win because he has capital to assist fight this case lol
