Investing is a funny endeavor, especially when retail is the main driver.
Take bitcoin for example...
I was getting several phone calls a week asking me how to buy bitcoin when it was up around $60k.
Now, it's down around $21k and my phone has rang in months from people asking about bitcoin.
People waiting for that dip...

Then that dip came and they don't act...
Perhaps it's cause they died waiting?!
