Perhaps we should ban other industries that use more energy that bitcoin?!

People love to say bitcoin is wasteful in terms of its energy usage.

While that can certainly be debated, there are a couple points to that...

First, lets say they are right and it is wasteful and it should be banned, does that mean we should ban other industries that are even more wasteful?

And second of all, bitcoin has been becoming more and more green as well as using stranded energy sources.

Both are positive for the planet.

And finally, that first part about it being wasteful is only if you don't count securing the most decentralized monetary network on the planet valuable... which most people would.
