Hello Steemians, I have decided to start a daily blog regarding my Unbelievable Road to $10,000.00 Success Story, with one goal in mind – my first $10,000.00 in holding value.
Background:
As soon as I heard about the cryptocurrency space back in early May 2017 I knew it was the right place for me to start investing. As a young struggling man in a poor European country, I find it pretty hard to cover my rent, living costs, maintenance of a car, gas, etc. and also start saving money, so I've decided to put the little money I had saved up into a POLO trading account. I've started the account one month ago, with roughly $250.00.
This is where I was on Friday (16/06/2017):
This is my account as of today (19/06/2017):
On Friday I was at around $300.00 in total holding value. Now, don't think that I just made a $130.00 profit over the weekend. No, I've actually bought another $115.00 worth of BTC, and made about a $20.00 since then, during the weekend. Made a few trades, bought a few altcoins, and now I'm waiting to see where the market goes during this week.
What trades did I do today?
- Bought $115.00 worth of BTC (0.04500000) and deposited in my Poloniex account
- Sold all my Golem, Siacoin and Monero (at small profits compared to the buying price)
- Bought my first 150 Burst coins. My first step towards mining and investing in Burst!
- Bought another 50 STEEM tokens. STEEM ON!
- Bought another 90 Ripple coins
- Bought my first 500 Grid coins. Small investment, huge potential!
- Sent a small BTC amount to my STEEMIT account, for STEEM POWER!
What trades do I wanna do next?
- Keeping an eye out on BTC price. If another correction is happening, and the price goes under $2,500.00 during this week, I will scrub my savings and buy a bit more.
- Buying a few more BURST coins. Good fundamentals, mineable currency, has the potential to be as strong as LTC one day. Look at what's happening to LTC today, a 70% increase in the last 7 days.
- Constantly buying more STEEM coins during drops. I've decided to fully invest in the STEEM/STEEMIT community. STEEM ON!
- Constantly sending small amounts of BTC to STEEM POWER whenever I get the chance.
- Keeping an eye on DASH. Unfortunately the price of DASH is quite high and simply cannot afford it at this time, will keep it in the back of my mind however, as more and more people will try to find an easier-to-use alternative to BTC. Also, looking forward to PIVX being listed on Poloniex.
Today’s advice:
Don't forget the cryptocurrency space is a safe environment. Coins can go down at any point, including Bitcoin. Remember the fundamentals of trading. Buy when markets go down, sell when they go up. Don't panic and sell low, don't be greedy and buy a coin that's skyrocketing. Take your time, keep track of the coins that you're interested in using http://www.coinmarketcap.com and see how they're evolving over the course of a couple of weeks, months, or even years. Check each coin's website, do research, see who's behind it, what backs it up, and who the target audience is.
Other plans for the future:
- Still thinking of starting to mine BURST coins. A rig of 100TB would cost me about $5,000.00 to make in my country. Trying to figure out a way to get at least half of that money to get me started on mining BURST, and upgrading from the money I get from mining until I reach at least 100TB of storage. Calculating costs, doing research, searching for the best prices for the hardware from local providers.
Road to $10,000.00 holding value - progress so far:
Started with $250.00 in my account, now up to roughly $430.00 out of $10,000.00 so I'm at about 4.3% of my goal as of today.

I like your idea of starting with 250 and try to reach 10k. Do you have any timetable? You should have a investing strategy.
Generally I'd say that diversifying your portfolio is a great idea, but do not over-diversify ;)
My strategy is to focus only on 3-4 coins and trying to get as many coins as possible from those coins.
E.g. I like the roadmap and admire the work of the devloper of the VIACOIN. Check it out ;)

Thank you for your support Mike. I do have a timeframe, and that is by the end of the year to reach $10,000.00. I also agree on diversifying my portfolio, that's why I have about 6 different coins right now, and planning on getting a bit of DASH as well, and also getting more coins of the ones that I already have.
