As bitcoin faces a very interesting, albeit, uncertain future, I want to wish all you good folk of steemit all the best! Hope your BTC is secured and ready to cash in the new coins. Which ever way it goes, I believe it'll be for the best.
As for me, I'v got all my BTC now on my hardware wallet, waiting for the split. I suspect the east will mine and support BCC, and the west will hold on to BTC. I'm holding on to both seeing where this journey goes!
A split is always growth, think mitosis.
Hopefully, we'll all come out on top. For one to win, the others don't necessarily need to lose.
On that note, I'm heading back to work, to see you all on the flip side!
Cheers,
D.
I suspect that BCC will not be adopted as the main "Bitcoin", but I don't beleive it will go away either. So, I'll be picking up my BCC from my BTC holdings too. Here's a countdown to the fork: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/launch?iso=20170801T1220&p0=1440&msg=Bitcoin+Cash+Hardfork&font=sanserif

I agree. I suspect it'll go the ETC way. What's being missed in this entire cacophony is that both coins are technically superior to it's parent, and this counts for somethings. Instead of one slow, expensive coin, we get two cheap, nimble coins. Ideology often gives way to practicality. That'll be the test I guess, how it actually performs once it's out in the world, kicking about!
