BTC to STEEM

i just transfer 1 btc to steem, and i received 147 steem in my steemit account and Estimated Value $96.00. 1 btc is $660 right now, why am I losing dollar value? then why should I transfer btc to steem?

    The estimated value is the weekly average of the price of Steem not the current value.
