Community needs to revive High Performance Blockchain

in bitcoin •  5 years ago

The community and a group of developers will introduce a new governance structure to High Performance Blockchain (HPB). The organization is doing this because the original founders have abandoned the project. The HPB Foundation is now a community driven organization. In addition a board committee will take care of payments and budgets to continue the development of the ecosystem.

The process to become a community driven project comes from CEO Xiaoming Wang. Four co-founders and half of the full-time employees are stepping down. This means that the other half is becoming a community contributing member. Currently community members are questioning the business, and accuse the founders of pulling an exit scam.

Even though all the accusations, there's still 34 people on the payroll on the HPB Foundation. This includes developers, marketing, finance and other jobs.

The HPB Foundation hopes that through promoting community governance that the core team and community become more unified, where both parties jointly steer HPB’s ecosystem development.
