how can I not panic when I just bought BTC at 13,500 and ETH at 1315?...and those are my best performers, my alt coins arr down 50-75% in days....I'll need a huge rally just to break even..horrible timing. It's fine for people who bought in BTC under 5000 and can just buy more, but most people bought over $10k and crypto will go nowhere if new buyers are subject to corrections like this, it will never be mainstream or expand market cap.

If you look back BTC has had this correction almost to the day for years straight. I think it may be more severe this time as the last few months we have got a ton of new people into the crypto space that did not truly understand the market or the technology and they will be the first to panic sell. I think we will see a bounce back in the next few days. But as always only time will truly tell. HODL tight fellow steemers!!

Are you a trader or long term holder? I was planning to be a long term holder but with this level of volatility I don't know anymore. Also, I see that my Alt Coins are not recovering like BTC/ETH are now...they got crushed and are still crushed.

I am primarily a long term holder. Sometimes it is a good idea to skim profits off the top but not advised unless its needed. Everyones portfolios are down today. You will start to see the ALTs come back. BTC/ETH/LTC are still down 15-20% so it will take time to bounce back. My best advice is to relax and not check it for a few days if it is stressing you out. You will be rewarded for your patience.

thanks. I've been a wreck so I hope you are right. This all came after my TRON shot up and then crashed back down so I felt doubly horrible that I did not take profits....right now I have ETH, BTC, IOTA, ADA, TRON, Verge, Vibe & Sub Stratum.

Those are all good long term holds in my opinion. My attitude is no matter what happens I am looking way down the road future wise on all investments. If all my ALTS/coins go to a penny I will not sell. In retrospect if they are all at record highs I will not sell. Once you can commit to the long term plan you will not be as bothered by the dips as much> It is irrelevant at this point in time for me. Keep your head up and look to the future!
