Bitcoin faithful love to boast how their prized cryptocurrency is known as "digital gold." I, however, see this as a negative. Unless you would say that we are currently living in the digital Ancient Egyptian Empire. Just like tangible gold, Bitcoin has shown itself to be highly valuable in terms of price, rare in terms of mass ownership and difficult to mine. Also, similarly to tangible gold, it has very little day to day use, unless you simply enjoy owning fancy expensive things just for its general store of value (not that there's anything wrong with that). Lastly, unlike tangible gold, Bitcoin can't even be made into jewelry and shown off!
