It was Flavor Aid, not Kool-Aid. No one gets the story right. Also, not everyone voluntarily drank it. A concerned senator had visited Jonestown and was killed by the cult. Fearing armed reprisal, Jim Jones ordered the mass suicide. Many of the people that died had guns pointed at them, being forced to drink the punch.

    I think that in fact we will never know the truth. There is too much mysterious and strange in this story.
