How Crunchbase Investment Screener Can Be Utilized to Your Advantage

One research technique that I need to impart to all of you incorporates using CrunchBase to find which organizations hedge funds and investors are setting their capital! CrunchBase is an extraordinary tool to give a break down of investment portfolios by hedge funds and investors. The key tools that Crunchbase displays to users include the funding types, the total amount of money raised, and the announced date of the funding.

While conducting research on Crunchbase, the venture capital that I have researched on was Blockchain Capital which started their investment fund in 2013. Blockchain Capital has great experience in investing since starting with Bitcoin back in 2013.

About Blockchain Capital

According to angel.co, Blockchain capital is the first a sector-focused VC fund that invests in Blockchain technology and bitcoin companies (2018). As stated on Blockchain Capital’s website, “Blockchain Capital is one of the oldest and most active venture investors in the Blockchain technology sector and has financed 72 companies” (Blockchain Capital 2018).

Having invested in over 70 blockchain related technology companies which involves seed funds, ICOs, Series A through C, there were some investments that caught my attention. As depicted above, Blockchain Capital has raised a hefty amount of their capital into certain ICOs which is worth researching. These include ICOs CIVIC and Bancor.

Civic (CVC) ($35 Million Invested)

Blockchain capital has invested roughly over $35 million in Civic. Civic is a blockchain that involves securing user's data. According to www.civic.com, "Civic makes it easy to control and protect your identity, with blockchain-powered decentralized authentication solutions, reusable identity elements & KYC, you can upgrade identity security, on-boarding, and everyday use"(Civic 2018).

Bancor (BNT) (152 Million Invested)

Bancor is another ICO that Blockchain Capital has funded heavily in. The amount of funding contributed to this project by Blockchain Capital is $152 million. I absolutely love this project as it gives users the convenience to convert any two tokens without a middleman.
