Segwit2x(I think fully legit in Nov??)+ lightning network + bitcoin = explosive 1St quarter '18. Let's be real, there was never an issue of bitcoin dying or even crashing for that matter. However by pulling a classic Nathan Rothchild (post battle of Waterloo-Creature from Jekyll Island pg. 226-227) a lot of people who know what's going on with blockchain rich all over again.

Just that it's a lot easier to make money investing in something moving from 1500 to 3000 than it is to make money when moving from 3000 to 6000.
People want to make money and the collective herd listens.
bitcoin will rise because fiat currencies suck. period.
