Belarus has crypto-friendly regulations and could attract foreign capital and ICO's

Finally, someone besides Japan who gets it. I guess these former Soviet-states are finally loosening up the communist-grip that has loomed over their population since..ever. With an average IQ of around 97, I'm not shocked Belarus is making good decisions.

At the end of 2017, the Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed an ordinance aiming at developing the country's IT-sector and to attract blockchain companies.

“Belarus becomes the first state in the world which opens up broad opportunities for the use of the blockchain technology,” said Lukashenko. “We have all opportunities to become a regional center of competence in this field.”

They are making comprehensive regulations for blockchain businesses, as well as legalizing cryptocurrencies, ICO's and smart contracts on a national level. This new law will come into force in March.

Very very smart indeed. Like I've argued before, those countries embracing cryptos and understanding the fundamentals and realizing that there is no way you can ban it - and regulating them into oblivion only prices you so to speak, out of the market. Countries who are only focused on regulating and "banning" cryptos will lose out on technological talents, companies, revenues and even ...puke..taxation.

Congratulations to Belarus for not being retarded.

I can foresee many entrepreneurial Russians leaving the motherland to setup shop in Belarus. This is a smart move on the part of Lukashenko!

What was once the gold rush today is the blockchain fever, but I'm glad it's like that !! Upvoted.

Oh no no no

It might seem to be friendly to cryptocurrencies in Belorussia but never forget the last Soviet Dictator. This guy is crazy and can change the rules any minute. But Belorussia has many clever and well-educated people.

How about mother Russia

Belarus is a little bit warmer than Norway. How you going with your mods to the flag up there?

Good to see this.
