Looks like a good long-term investment. Sure it doesn't grow as fast as some of the altcoins but I'm a boring guy anyway so I'm happy to accumulate some bitcoin every month. Over the next 3 or 4 years, I expect to make some nice gains.

If the mainstream media is talking about a bull run, prepare for the opposite. These ambassadors have their own agenda, you should be aware of that possibility and plan accordingly.

No matter what kind of investor you are, some level of risk is at play. Why not buy a few thousand satoshi just to have skin in the game? If Bitcoin is a scam, then you lost a few hundred. If not, that few hundred could be 15 grand in a few years. No matter what you think of Bitcoin, there will come a time when people are scratching to add a dozen sats to their portfolios.

I've been looking at these bit coin mining companies and I am not sure if they are sustainable. The energy bills are off the roof in some of them. How are they going to sustain it. I'd love to be long on bitcoin, but I am not sure.

If you're not keen on trading, BTC certainly makes for an excellent long-term investment at this point as you say -- you'll even have fun with it in the short term too.
