[0210] Lympo: 3 Partnerships I'd Like to See

in bitcoin •  6 years ago  (edited)

If the blockchain represents one thing, it's partnerships. By enabling a database to share information in the way that the blockchain does, it paves the way for partnerships to form.

In fact, partnerships are implied with the new technology and companies that don't will fall behind in the new economy.

One of my favourite #SportsCoins ( and top picks for 2018 ), #Lympo posted a competition on Reddit. The topic of the competition was 'app development and potential use cases for Lympo'.

https://www.reddit.com/r/LYMPO/comments/8tzcid/weekly_reddit_competition_part_2/

For those who don't know, Lympo aims to become the #FitBit for cryptocurrency. They will basically monetize the practice of exercise and incentivise people to lead healthier lives. I have been on the Lympo bandwagon since day dot because I can see the huge potential of such a company in 'the new economy' spawned by #Bitcoin.

Anyway, the competition above asked for comments on their subreddit. I chose to write a blog post as my answers are usually both long and lengthy. Also I wanted to let you guys know you could win some coin.

The competition asked for suggestions. My suggestions revolve around partnerships I'd like to see Lympo become involved in and thereby build an app that 3rd parties can plug into. Or to use the fancy cliche, with interoperability and cross chain functionality.

Rather than building out an entire ecosystem on their own, I think the Lympo developers should 'think sideways' from the beginning and use some of the functionality that the blockchain offers. Namely, data sharing with other blockchain startups.

There could be some very cool synergies when partnering with other crypto companies. Not to mention what strategic partnerships would bring to the companies 'bottom line'.

Here are 3 that have been on my mind for some time.

Lympo & PigzBe

Like Lympo, #Pigzbe is another project I am bullish on and I have written several posts why. A childrens crypto-toy company will be huge.

Basically, Pigzbe are entering the childrens market and have created a smart, piggy-wallet for kids to store their pocket money in. The wallet doubles as a game controller for their app, which pays kids rewards in crypto. Among other things planned for their product line.

A partnership with Lympo would be an amazing thing as the two could incentivise childrens sport. And playing activities. Thus moving kids away from behind touch screens and into the backyards and sports fields the world over.

Lympo & AidCoin

As it's name suggests, #AidCoin is a blockchain designed to track donations given to aid agencies. This solves many problems and raises confidence that peoples money will indeed be spent where the money was sent.

Combining Lympo and AidCoin could produce some very interesting spin offs. The first of which are world wide exercise challenges with proceeds donated to charity. Another could be creating a sport out of social issues and incentivizing charitable work, for example.

In my mind, a lot of what we call sport is unproductive self serving entertainment, unattached from real world needs and problems. The day we make a sport out of housing the homeless, for example, will be a better day indeed.

Lympo & Ethos

#Ethos, the universal wallet, will be a powerhouse when it enters the market. It will be the 'go to place' for many newbies who enter the crypto space.

Given the ethics of the company, their aims to make crypto accessible and their community spirit, a partnership with Lympo would be an interesting cross-pollination of ideas by two companies that have a similar... err, ethos.

I won't post any actual ideas other than to say, 'you two should get together'.

Well, that's that. Those are my recommendations for the Lympo devs and the direction their app should take. Design the thing to integrate other blockchains and make it easy for people to partner. Thereby expanding your offering exponentially.
