[0215] - Beaxy: A Crypto Exchange with Interesting Features

I've been on a roll lately, blah blah blogging about my favourite cryptocurrency type - #CoinExchanges.

As I have said a million times before, I am a big fan of 'key infrastructure' coins that act like the railways, freight and shipping lines of the cryptocurrency world.

The logic is simple. If you invest into projects that allow money to flow into, around and out of crypto - the vital channels - then your investment risk is significantly lower. And your profit potential that much higher.

But if you invest in a project that merely wants to 'beat Bitcoin' or is in an obscure market, then you may have put your money in the wrong place.

Beaxy

I never grow bored of reading about new coin exchanges and crypto hedge funds that are popping up on the market. Normally, crypto investors roll their eyes and think 'not another one' but to me this is a big mistake.

I read about every one that comes across my desk because they are all designed differently, by different people and have different opportunities attached.

Todays coin exchange is one of the most interesting new exchanges I have seen in awhile. There are many interesting selling points that are mind boggling in their potential.

The Goodies

Let's go over the juicy stuff.

1. Staking - This is a staple of many coins these days but the ability to receive interest and dividends should never bore you. Loyalty rewards are offered also.
2. Referral Program - This one is attractive by itself. The ability to earn 10% commission on all trades for people you bring onto the platform is one hell of an incentive.
3. FIAT gateway for USD and EUR. Reportedly with instant deposits. This would be a real feature if it proves to be true. Perfect for sniping an opportunity which you can't do if you have to wait for your paper dollars to arrive from the bank.
4. Tax Reporting - A feature that should be a standard on every crypto exchange but, strangely, is not. The ability to obtain detailed reports on the back end is a time saving feature.
5. 20+ order types. This is epic.
6. 3rd Party Appstore - Interesting. Not many exchanges are expanding their platform in this way. Could prove to be a very interesting feature. I'm a big fan of 3rd party apps bolted on instead of development in the hands of one team.
7. Over The Counter Trading ( OTC ) - This one is by far the biggest deal and one day will apply to me lol. For institutional investors trading more than $1M USD in a hit. Designed in a way to not drastically change the price in the order book by taking the order in a seperate ledger. What all the big players do and is interesting to see Beaxy setting up for this.

In my mind, OCT trading should be a standard practice and orders over a certain threshold automatically are removed from the standard order book and moved to the OTC one. But it is good to see that Beaxy are setting up shop with high rollers in mind.

Roadmap

The Beaxy roadmap sets a fairly brisk pace I must admit. Given that code development is a capricious beast and bugs can delay a timeline, it will be interesting to see if Beaxy keeps to the schedule it has set. Some of the developments in 2019 may be challenging milestones to reach on time.

But, good on them for having these objectives in mind. I do like ambition.

ICO

For those interested in partaking in a good old ICO or want to get in on the ground floor of the project, then you are in luck. The ICO runs from Sept 1st to October 1st, 2018 and coincides with the launch of the exchange.
