WIN 500 SP - DISCUSSION: "Should Bitcoin Just Be a Currency or Store of Value?"

Well a lot of my family fast for religious reasons and they do say there are benefits (not just spiritual and mental) but for their health too. There is growing evidence that intermittent fasting is good in terms of insulin sensitivity and also in helping to reduce visceral fat. I would be interested to know your thoughts when you have completed it - please send me the link if you post on it.

This was my first one and I ended it after 5 days. I don't think that's long enough to see any profound changes given my lifestyle in adolescence. I am not trying to stock up on vitimans, minerals and fatten up a bit so I can do a longer one, and if you are curious about some of these alleged benefits too.. I could document a few things before hand and check for results after. For example, I really want to see if an extended fast can really get rid of your scars. I have a huge scar on my head that I have had since my teens, and if I took a photo of that and then it was gone afterwards... that would be insane.

Is there anything specific you are curious about?

Well one of the things I have heard is that it can lead to increased mental clarity - now obviously this is very subjective and could just be placebo, but I think it is interesting nonetheless.

Actually, it was improved cognitive efficiency and boosted memory that was the main inspiration for taking this up. I have been trying to fix my brain for a decade now, as I abused drugs throughout my teens and paid a heavy price for it.

I don't think 5 days was long enough to see any type of effect in this regard, but I have noticed a much more relaxed attitude towards monetary pressures since I have recovered. So that's one thing that I feel I can attribute to the task.

I have put back on half the stone that I lost so far, so when I have recovered the rest, I am going to go for a longer one, and this time I may share the experience with the community, as I know you're not the only one who is curious.
