Through its FX International Payments business, American Express is experimenting in real conditions with the use of the Ripple blockchain to provide its customers with fast, traceable money transfers between its US customers and those of the Santander bank in the United Kingdom.
Since the beginning of the year, the price of the Ripple has multiplied by 30, fueled by rumors and announcements of banks interested in its operation. Ripple relies on a "proof of accuracy" to validate its transactions, defined in the protocol's white paper.
