Why is China prohibiting bitcoin transactions?

We know that China has banned bitcoin transactions. Why is China prohibiting bitcoin transactions? Due to China's foreign exchange controls, Bitcoin poses a threat to the Chinese government's foreign exchange controls, so China prohibits bitcoin transactions.
