Bitcoin Machine and ramen story: Honolulu

Aloha

Not too long ago (01/28/18), I ventured out to a new bitcoin machine that is located inside of Shirokiya; a Japanese food haven located at Ala Moana shopping mall. Aside from delicious foods, I was there to buy some bitcoin. Hawaii has such harsh rule against cryptocurrencies. Basically zero support for our decentralized revolution. However, there are now two bitcoin machines that I know of here in Honolulu. Please enjoy my adventure from bitcoin machine to ramen noodles.

Here’s my short story for the love of cryptos and ramen noodles. Oh, and some folks I met while enjoying a bowl of heavenly ramen.

At the far left side of Ala Moana shopping mall is Shirokiya. Located to the left side is the bitcoin machine surrounded by two ATM machines. A minimum of $100 with an initial $100 bill is required to purschase a tiny shitoshi of bitcoin. I inserted some into the machine. The whole transaction took about 30 seconds.

Afterward, I reward myself with a hot bowl of ramen with pork with extra sprinkles of red peppers and white peppers. I loved each scorching ramen bites followed by scorching ramen broth. My whole Universe is complete until I was interrupted by some nearby folks.

They offered me saki. They offered me intellectual questions. They offered more saki. Me?! What did I offer back? Hmmm, I offered my opinions of our world. I offered alternative points of view. But then there wasn’t much of a conversation when a group of peeps get their news from MSM and I get mine from Alt.media. They were quite confused as I thanked them and walked off.

I came home giggling about a tiny bit of Bitcoin that I purchased today and a hot bowl of ramen I truly enjoyed. And great conversation with these fine folks. Ugh hmm, nothing about bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Although one of the most important part of this story is the bitcoin machine and my hope is that there will be many more of it popping up everywhere in Honolulu.

That was my exciting shorty adventure to a new bitcoin machine and a delicious bowl of ramen. And as always, until we meet again, have a wonderful day.

Aloha!

And $1 beers...I had no idea there was a bitcoin atm there. The other one in the coin shop? I'd heard something about one in a dispensary but that's a whole lot of observation on a coin that's suppossed to be private...Nice post. Aloha.

Oh, I was scared to get $1 beer so I went for Ashahi $4.
Yes! There’s a bitcoin machine there that’s about two weeks old! Nice to me you!!!

Oh yes, the shop; something
Hawaiian coin and stamp shop in Chinatown; Bishop street

I've never had the $1 beer either. It amazes me though. Cheaper than milk or a can of soda.

Kinda like old spoiled milk: not legal for consumption

How do you buy BTC from ATM? Does it ask you for your wallet address or do you get a paper wallet with your coin inside?

Download a crypto wallet app via your phone.

Huh, I see.

Yeah yeah, ATM, I get it and you knew what I meant silly goose. Hehe

what is the fee that they charge for the bitcoin? The other coin shop place is 15% of the price... so 100 dollars gets you 85 dollars of bitcoin... do you know the rate for this new machine outside of the Shirokiya?
