Is Bitcoin a scam? Any takers??? Well, I am yet to get any person with the conviction that it is a scam like any other fad from the past. The truth is many times, those things that are deemed scam are those things that manage to surpass our expectations and this new movement called the Altcoin movement or Cryptocurrency is one of such that keeps getting better by the day.

A recent research shows that its only 6% of the world's population that knows about this new movement in every sense of the word, that is they are EXTREMELY FAMILIAR while there are about 80% who are A BIT FAMILIAR or UNFAMILIAR. While there are the other about 10% who know nada, zilch, nothing, zero about it and will never want you to tell them about it.
Are you part of the 6% or the 80%? I think I should answer for myself and then lets see how honest we all can be about this matter.

I am not ashamed to say that I am part of the 80% but I am striving to learn so that I can become a part of the exclusive class of 6%. Yes! I am not there yet but I will get there because I am learning and looking forward to be schooled by those who know so much about this new movement.

In my country Nigeria, the Federal Government is among the 10% that know nothing or pretend to know nothing about this new movement and are not interested in letting any person know and they have made this known through the Central Bank by putting out warnings that people should steer clear of Bitcoins and its associates.
They have even mandated the banks to make sure they do not allow deposits and payment to and from Exchange sites that deal with Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies. Its true because yours truly was a victim of that policy when last week I tried to withdraw funds to my Naira Denominated account where I initially made the payment from in January 2017 and was told by the exchange that the problem is from my bank and on reaching out to them, I was told its a new policy from the Central Bank.

Now my question is "is cryptocurrency a scam" or is it just dead to the unbelievers who see nothing good from it? Or is this just about my country and the corrupt leaders that are struggling to make sure they control our finances and keep stealing them?
At a time when Bitcoin is at an all time high from less than $1k USD in January to almost $3k now, should anyone still doubt that it is legit? Now so many other coins are being introduced into the market and many are becoming rich by the minute can one be right to say "LET AWAIT THE DEATH OF CRYPTOCURRENCY?"
At this time where the world is moving to Altcoins, is it not going to be a mistake to remain in an era where finances are regulated by some few persons?
In my country, the Politicians and their cronies are the regulators of everything Money and Finance and that has made them to play god and keep impoverishing the people and because they are afraid what the people will do if they have the power over their own finances, they tell us Bitcoin is a fraud and implement laws to stop the people from getting on the train.
So I ask, is Bitcoin a fraud? and if it is, when is it gonna die???
