Tried to buy Steem.. Is Bitconnect trying to hold my BTC? What is Login Shield verification!

in bitconnect •  7 years ago  (edited)

Bitconnect has got very good reviews recently, so I wouldn't want to take out my funds, but as per the speculations about a lot that has to happen within next week, I wanted to buy few Steem using my Bitconnect BTC. Reason is that the price of steem is lower than what it should be, and it would be wise to sell the Bitconnect when it is at its all time high(near to $70), buy some BTC and then altertively buy the Steem.

Steem is speculated to go higher,

so the returns would be better, and also I need to buy the steem power, because I am a noob here, and have almost zero earnings even on the 4th day. I know I know .. patience, but still it would be wise to buy some steem.
Then Bitconnect poses this new riddle to me.

I went to Blocktrade, got an address for recieving the BTC to Steem account, which automatically would convert to Steem. I put this address in the Bitconnect withdraw section. See what pops up when I try to withdraw the Bitcoin from Bitconnect. The Dashboard link takes me back to the dashboard and nothing else happens. If I again try to withdraw same thing pops up.

Is Bitconnect trying to hold me back from taking the funds out?

Is this 'login shield verification' nothing more than a simple denial, but not expressed in direct words? That is what Poloniex is reportedly doing recently. Bitconnect notified its members earlier that the transactions related with BTC won't happen from 31st to 2nd August. But this is 28th only.

But wait, now I almost have taken you into suspecting Bitconnect, right? Actually this is what happens here, there and everywhere. We suspect so much, and almost everything related to cryptocurrency, because a lot is happening in very less time.
We feel to be in the dark, and in fear we start panicking, and start posting on forums. We send the bad reviews, and bam! We hurt yourself and others.

Bitconnect has a login shield Verification

When you go to the Dashboard, there is this link in orange color in middle of the page, click and it sends you a verification link in your registered email address. Click the link and verify the browser. Once verified, send the bitcoin to any address you want.

Very good post. I fully understand what you're talking about. There's a lot of exchanges out there. I found that coinmarketcap.com gives quite a decent overview. Besides coinmarketcap.com there is: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm using this site that gives in depth reports on every tradable cryto in the market. Go to: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/BitConnect#analysis To check BitConnect Indepth analysis

Thanks for the website link.

Hi, it looks like you have to enter verify your browser. You may have logged in from another computer or maybe from a different internet connection. BitConnect will have sent you a email asking you to verify the browser. All you have to do is click the link in the email and you should be able to complete the transaction. Hope this helps.

Yeah! exactly, that is what I explained in the post.

Please be very cautious if using BitConnect, and I encourage you to read @thegrinder's the bitconnect scam exposed post.
There seems to be much information out there to both support and challenge the BitConnect system. Yet is has been determined to be a FACT they have no official White Paper, as well as the existence of any trading bot has been challenged and yet to be proven....
Please be sure to research both sides of this debate before investing or participating any further in BitConnect (big red flag for me, @craig-grant was fanatically promoting both BitConnect and the use of his own referrals - yet since these questions and challenges have arisen CG has abandoned both the promotion of BitConnect and the push to use his referral code).

Thank You.

Thanks for sharing! These video made me to worry about my money in Bitconnect, so I will try to get out the amount I invested in there first, but it will take time, maybe two months. But the rest of the money, I will partly invest and partly take out.
Don't you invest in there?

I do not (nor here either, just my time and content - I won't 'trust' steemit until it corrects some obvious bias as a Financial Oligarchy).
OHM Wallet with the S.V.V. are the only things I've invested anything into (and it's to early to tell what the payout will be, yet considering I 'purchased' my coins with proof of good deeds and it will always be worth at least a penny I can't lose).
:D

Once someone installs and understands their OHM Wallet, they can then fill out an Acts of Kindness form to start earning their OhmCoins.
They are on a few exchanges, including NovaExchange, and seem to be doing fairly well considering it has only been available for a little over 2 months now.

Thanks for sharing about Ohm, I see that the currency is very low priced.

You are welcome, my pleasure. Whether one chooses to purchase Coins or earn them with actions, it seems like a pretty solid long-term investment considering it is less than 3 months since publicly offered.
I'm thinking long-term. Earned over 10,000 coins just submitting Acts of Kindness and puzzle/task submissions for the SVV. And should the price ever reach 1 USD per Coin, I will be able to cash out for 2 plane tickets from Argentina to the USA (so my wife can meet my mother face-to-face for the fist time).
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
:D

wow! that would be great. 10,000 coins you made in just three months? Can I make that much also?

It all depends on the efforts. It seemed to me the more selfless the higher they reward (i.e. a kind supportive comment on a public post somewhere might earn one coin, while starting a community garden or youth mentoring service would bring much much more).
