Bitpay reduces minimum "load amount" from $100 to $5!!

In a public announcement Bitpay just announced that they would be allowing minimum payments from $100 to $5!!

Hi there,

Yesterday we shared an emergency update with you about Bitcoin network conditions and your BitPay load payments. We temporarily raised the minimum card load amount to $100 to respond to current bitcoin network conditions.

We continue to monitor bitcoin network conditions, but we have re-enabled loads for $5 or above.

They go on to state..

Many loads under $100 may still be uneconomical for you due to high bitcoin network fees, but you will again have the option to send these smaller payments if you choose.

Conclusion

So it seems like going from $1 minimum to $100 minimum may have been extreme, but $5 seems reasonable, because even if you try to load $5.00

So you better be willing to pay a $23 fee just to get $5 onto a card!!

Either way I would say I am least glad to have the option, but as they stated in the last announcement..

I would rather have the option to load Bitcoin Cash with cheaper fees.. (and maybe Litecoin or even STEEM would be nice) but another option would be great.
