This was a really interesting hangout. Thanks for sharing it. There's an amazing amount of things going on in Bitshares and on Bitshares. I'm really impressed with the projects that take blockchain into relatively unrelated businesses, like Hempsweet. And not just as a "coin", which can easily be replaced, but as a interwoven part of the business, so these projects are putting a lot of faith in the future of Bitshares.

thats because so many of us have been here believing in it from the beginning. It is the underdog that Does Not deserve to be one. The big problem is that miners do not like the idea of being cut out. It is growing in many ways to be a cabal. So if you dont make your coin (at least partially) mineable, dont expect much from them.
However, if you have a chain infrastructure that can execute 3300 (bundled) transactions per second and self governance WITH separations of power, expect them to treat you like they would treat a killer. Because they see you will kill them IF the market ever finds out.
Sure we've had internal frustrations at times as well, but that is the big one. BUT this community who is here is here not for the money (else they have gone somewhere else long ago). We simply know that if chains dont exist that offer this separations of power approach, they will become extra dangerous in the future. We also know our tech is one of the VERY few who can scale (and we were first to do it :P)

It is early if you are in the west coast US, but well worth it.

Excellent hangout guys.
It was mentioned that the Bitshares testnet stress test may have been limited due to a lack of resources available for creating a larger transaction volume - what about creating a BOINC project to distribute this software out to a few thousand computers around the world?
Such a project would be unlikely rewarded by Gridcoin due to the bursty nature of stress testing, unfortunately. You could distribute an UIA to your volunteers by adding a Bitshares field to their account profile.
