The free-to-play (F2P) fighting game is one of the most popular on Steam and PS4.
Brawlhalla, a free 2D fighting game, has entered its fourth year of pro competition and will offer over $500K prizes. Dubbed Year Four, this year’s competition series features the largest prize pool yet, compared to the total prize pool of $300K offered in 2018.
Brawlhalla features a roster of playable characters and a play style similar to Super Smash Bros. Developer Blue Mammoth was acquired by Ubisoft last March.
When the game launched on PS4 in January of 2018, it became one of the most-downloaded F2P titles, second only to Fortnite Battle Royale. In July of 2018, a hole in Valve’s API revealed that Blue Mammoth’s game was the most popular fighting game on Steam, with 8.65M players.
