English Spellings

in blackphoto •  7 years ago

I am an Engineer, and aparently a mathematician, i love and love to teach mathematics. I love to understand things or the processes that led to a solution, and don't like cramming. Learning by process is what fascinated me and brought me to show you what i learnt and how i taught it to pulpils.

Learning big words in English Language can be very exiting compared to cramming them which can be boring and one can easily forget them.
Spellings can be learnt by:

  1. Reading: This has proven to be the best way to learn spellings and even expressions. Pulpils get familiar with these big words by reading them, and you as a teacher must guide them.

  2. Combinations of short words: This was the method i used this morning and it was productive. Try to break the long words into shorter ones and pupils will learn faster. Check the pictures below taking by my Itel1516+ on Spellings.

I believe this method can be very exiting and help teachers around the world. Let us discourage cramming for pulpils. Thank you.

Making students understand a concept by breaking it for them is ingenious, just make sure they get it as pronunciation only, and not associate the two words together. .

Wow this is good teacher. This should be seen by @originalworks! Cramming is forceful. A good and proper style produces the right emotions so we can recall words rather than forgetting @ayobami99. Nice invention

thanks so much this means a lot to me

Nice post @ayobami99. I liked the method of learning spellings.

Thank you.

These are great ideas. Showing how the words come together to make bigger words or comparing similar spellings. Thanks for sharing!
