My cousin who is in the shipping business once described a week in his life he intends to forget in a hurry .He was at a port in the United Arab Emirates and his goods were ready but he needed two more containers unfortunately there were no available containers to transport the rest of his goods back to Nigeria, actually they were empty containers all around him but the owners were not going to part with them even for a fee as they claimed that if it had their companies logos it therefore belonged to the company and there was really nothing they could do about it ,my cousin pleaded with the heads of about 5 empty container owners all but to no avail, he had to stay at a hotel for a full week frustrated and he ordered for two containers and not knowing exactly when the containers he ordered for will materialize.
Then after a week they finally showed up the delivery guy was all apologetic with a fake smile explaining how they got held up here and there due to technical issues and clearance ,he was all but exhausted and was actually relieved that he was finally going to secure his goods in a container to take them home.
