You just have to admit it

There are days when you just feel like blogging is a chore, you wake up and you just feel uninspired and you just don't know what to talk about

So you log in and just find yourself going through the motions feeling sluggish and dull

This will always show in your writing and your most avid readers will know something is wrong, I have found out that it is on days like that i get the least comments

So I asked myself : How can I become more creative with my blog?

I knew that finding an answer to this question will be of great value to me and also my audience, so after much work and searching, I am going to talk about infusing creativity in your blog today

So today we are going to be learning from the ones who seems to get it right all the time, I am talking about artists, and when I say artist I also mean food bloggers like @progressivechef, the pictures of his dishes always leave me rushing to the kitchen

Creativity is defined as the process bringing new and imaginative ideas to reality, it requires a huge dose of passion and commitment, but before I go further i want to state an obvious fact, over the months, Steemit has turned out to be a true social media platform so you need to socialize in order to get maximum earnings on your work

But also you need to keep in mind that you are building a personal brand and authority and that is what money can't buy, at the end of the day it is not the person with the highest earnings that will be well known, it is the person who will be able to inspire and build up people in his niche

Apart from online earnings Steemit brings a lot of offline opportunities and it is only those who build a brand authority that will reap the offline rewards, I am going to be talking about this as the time goes by, so pay close attention to this series

Back to the matter at hand, they are a lot of qualities and factors that ensure creativity, most of this qualities are intrinsic but this does not mean you cannot develop them, while some are quite obvious. Principles are universal and apply everywhere no matter what you do

Happiness

Artists have great interest in what they do and it brings them a great level of enjoyment, they have great love for their work and if you have that as a Minnow, it will make you survive the period of low payouts you will experience while working on your personal brand

So I ask you, How well did you enjoy your last blog post?. What did your readers have to say after reading it?

Happiness can be achieved when you find a scope in your niche that you truly enjoy writing about and helping others to get a clear picture of it. Learn more about that particular area and blog more about it, you will be happy and your readers will be too

Happiness comes when you know that you are making a positive contribution to the world, bring out a sheet of paper and write out why you feel that your blog should exist, pin it where you can constantly see it to give yourself a sense of a bigger picture

It will bring you a level of happiness and motivation as the days go by, blogging is a long journey and on some days you might want to give up, but doing what makes you happy will keep you active on this platform

Liberty

One of the greatest strenght of the Blockchain is the liberty it provides and that it manifested on Steemit with the absence of Censorship

The freedom of expression is one of the greatest strenghts artist possess, imagine someone trying to dictate to Da Vinci or Picasso how their artwork should look, as a writer you have to know that holding that pen gives you a chance to play god and that is something you should cherish

So stop pumping out boring content and inspire steemians around the world with your work

The presence of Liberty on Steemit is what gives Steemains the ability to think as if there is no box (not outside) and make them bring everyone enormous value to everyone who listen to what they have to say

Some have abused this though, I have being seeing complains on @heiminidanger"s wall that some Steemians have turned dtube to a porn playing ground, this behaviour will not get you anywhere, abusing Liberty is bad and only soils your name

Humility

This simply means being teachable, you have to adopt an open mindset, make your brain open source

Know when something is not working out, listen to your audience so that you will know how to serve them better. Alwasys be curious and try new things. Risk taking is a form of humility, because it shows you know that you are willing to push yourself to be better

This will also break the perception that you can only blog on some particular topics or from a particular angle, don't be too comfortable with a particular approach

Humility creates a desire in you to slove problems through different approaches instead of stubbornly sticking to one, you have a better understanting of this when you come to realise that Steemit is not a place for you to dump quality content

A message doesn't have to be just correct, it has to be current.

So as you sit down to write that next blog post, ask your self what kind of value you want your blog post to bring to your readers?. What problems will it help them solve.

Don't be rigid, be flexible

What strategies have you used in the past to enhance your creativity? what are your thoughts on the points I listed above?

A lot of people have really abused the freedom of steemit. From the issue of self upvoting raised in the steem white paper to posting porn on Dtube, abuse all over the blockchain.
Steemit is a wonderful plathform and like you rightly pointed out, if we must post something, let it be original, let it be creative, let it add value, so that it will be worth the incentive that steemit guarantees.
Thanks for sharing @ogochukwu!

I don't see posting porn on Dtube as an abuse of it as long as it is tagged NSFW. Many felt it was one of the reason they needed to have a fork of youtube as they don't allow such contents. I don't see anything wrong in moderate self voting, even the not-so-moderate should be left for the person doing it to decide.

I still believe if steemit sees it as being detrimental to the system, a simple line of code could render a self vote a thing that cannot be done. It may seem bad to you, but remember in the real world there are people manipulating the financial market more heavily than a steemit self vote in terms of its negative effect to the steemit ecosystem. The only difference is in steemit you get to see it!

I'm not a supporter of self vote, but I believe people should have the freedom to do what they deemed right. That's the beauty of blockchain, it should be free and have lesser restriction compared to the centralised system. This is the point I say: steem on! ✌️😎🙌👍

The blockchain is a decentralized technology after all. It's a free world, but true freedom lies in doing what's right. What's right in steemit is obviously subjective... that's the beauty of blockchain.
Thanks for droping your thoughts @greenrun

You are welcome boss.

Interesting thoughts my friend, it all comes down to the basic case of using a tool, it's our personal morals and values that guides to use. Steem on!

Thanks

Hello @sunnyebinum

Thanks for reading. When it comes to the issue of self voting, i don't believe that voting on my posts is wrong, but there are some people who take it to the extreme and vote on their Spam comments and that is what really ticks people off.

I personally believe that we are in an era where posting quality content is not enough, we have to start finding ways to bring overall value to the community.

@ogochukwu

I agree totally with your submission.
Personally i'm still working on the quality of my posts. We will get there someday.

You won't believe what the title of this your blog article made me to remember. It may seem a bit unrelated to the topic of discussion, it's about a Jim Reeves album that is the favorite of my Dad. It's called The Unforgettable (released 1976!) It was an old school song he loves to play as we were growing up. He used to play this song some years back as a kid and it made some impression in my young mind.

You see I remembered it after all those years because it made an impression. So I guess to be creative you just have to be able to make an impression :) Nice writeup.

Hmmmm green. Learnt from this

That's good to hear. Learning never ends. It's weird but true.

yes bro.

Thats very true @greenrun.

What we are exposed to always rubs off on us. A friend of mine was exposed to reggae by his father at an early stage and now he is a reggae evengelist.

Thanks for dropping by and sharing your amazing insights as usual. You may not believe it, but i have learnt a lot of vital things from you for the past few days, your wisdom is evident in everything you do and I am very grateful to God for directing you to my Path.

@ogochukwu

Yeah, I guess the first 10 years of our lives are the most defining moments. You may not notice it then but it shows later.

The every Active minds of kids and their impacts of the later adults can not be over emphasized .

You are an interesting fellow mr green, I sure will spend a lot of time on your blog too cheers man

Thanks boss. That's high praise coming from you sir.

Any one who follow this series should be on the path to greater heights on steemit and on any blogs

So true again my friend! Building your own brand consistently each day and surrounding yourself with people of the same passions, is the way forward to have a nice impact in the long run.
We have to also put aside the reward expectation a little bit...this will come later for sure if you are doing good quality post.
Just keep rocking and entertain your audience!

Hello @progressivechef

Thank you for your kind words. Your Inspire me everyday.

@ogochukwu

You just encouragement me and that's why it's important to have time for each other, I'm happy that I stumbled on this great work of yours.

Please keep more coming especially the Offline Rewards you poked.
Really nice 👍🏽.

You are so right. And I think it always comes down to this: just be authentic. If you're thinking about "What could I write that blog readers wanna read about?" it's only half the way.
But if you really love what you do, writing about it, telling people about your story, ideas, thoughts, feelings etc, maybe making a bit fun of yourself and don't take things too seriously, that's when people feel that you're authentic and that you're passionate about what you do.

So it's a win-win-situation for both sides. You deliver great value and people are inspired. Or you made my day because you made me laugh with a great and funny post. It doesn't always have to be facts and figures, sometimes a nice story about yourself or something that happened to you is as inspiring as a motivational blog post.

Just be authentic :)
