Wow! I expect you will get a bit of push-back from the status-quo, but damn, we need some sort of alternative to the insane, money-grubbing-by-the-industrial-medical-complex system we have now. I would only suggest that we empower local professionals to work out of their homes, in their local communities, to provide appropriate services by changing certain laws restricting medical licensing - just sayin'...

You're right -- what we have now is not sustainable. Our corporate society is continuously valuing profit over people. The greed has got to stop.
I'm with you on going local. While this plan seems vast, the most important part is going to be on the individual/family/community level. That's where the real change happens.
