Every year companies are spending more than $220 billion on digital advertising. The current traditional marketplace for online advertising is overwhelming with lengthy process, being unsafe, opaque and most importantly highly expensive because of the middlemen. Involving intermediaries increase not only expenses but also causes potential delays in the process itself.
Also, publishers have their revenue reduced by users who block advertisements. Publishers are also not sure what ads are displayed. There is no one standard for communication between the advertisers. However, small publishers and new channels of promotion are often excluded in such a scenario.

With Adshares an advertiser can evaluate whether the traffic is genuine and pay for the publishers after viewing the advertisement. If they come from a suspicious source, they do not have to pay for that action; so it drastically reduces the scammed users rate. Similarly, the Publishers are also protected – they can report unfair advertisers to the blockchain reputation database, which is accessible to anyone.
How Does Adshares Work?
Transactions on Adshares are handled by Adshares tokens. The payments are based on ESC tool, which provides two-step verification. Fees collected from processing payments are distributed among token holders.
The Enterprise Service Chain or ESC is a custom-made blockchain that Adshares Network revolves around. ESC is explicitly designed for handling multiple simple transactions at the same time. The blockchain concept was intended to bypass third parties in payment networks. Blockchain powers the entire platform and facilitates fast and cheap transactions; Efficient architecture allow us to handle large volumes of transactions with a capability of processing up to 100k transactions per second.
In ESC, the accounts are organized hierarchically, with each account bound to a local node. Blocks of transactions are created at regular intervals – similar to how most blockchains work today. The blockchain is based on a proof of stake algorithm. With PoS, a small, fixed number of VIP nodes decide on the composition of transactions included in the block. After each block is closed, the set of VIP nodes is selected based on the highest sum of tokens stored in accounts of the nodes (deleted proof of stake).
VIP nodes have total authority over nodes and accounts. If a consensus between VIP nodes is reached, other connected nodes can be partially paralyzed and their accounts modified.
The current state of the project
Adshares network is under active development. Adshares has recently partnered with 10Clouds, a design & development firm with experience in blockchain projects, to help them with the design and engineering challenges. Our team kicked-off with workshops in the summer to help 10Clouds understand Adshares’ business model and refine their ideas into a working product.
