Technological evolution is rapidly moving in a very high pace. With manpower gradually replaced by automatic robotic machines, it has become pertinent to extend this technology to the transport system. This however is what motivated the establishment of autonomous robotic cars that are automatically controlled by a program. Drones that deliver packages are already in use in Iceland. However, it is not new that some restaurants use robots to their customers.

Some companies like Airbus, Kitty Hawk and Uber have already proposed flying-car drones that carry people in the air which is already tested in China by companies like EHang.
Meanwhile, some organisations have employed plenty of software developers with the motive of creating the first fully autonomous vehicle, there lies a lot of challenges surrounding this technological development. The problem of decision making, perception localisation and others still pose as a threat to the actualisation of the dream.

However, other issues like recharging the vehicle and maintaining it remains unresolved. Docking infrastructures cannot however be ignored as it is one of the first resolutions to be considered.

Even with the above issues flocking around, a bigger issue remains the restricted pace of the economy due to centralisation structure of the system. The main decision makers are poised at promoting their own isolated network and doesnt show any interest in collaborative infrastructure which would have turned out to more efficient with a higher potential for more diverse use in the long run.

This dearth in collaboration across the value chain networks has restricted the pace of development in the sector. These challenges is the motivation of the Decentralised Autonomous Vehicles (DAV) foundation project.

WHAT THE DAV PROJECT ALL ABOUT
The DAV project is aimed to solve the problems by open-sourcing the Decentralisation Autonomous Vehicles technology stack and decentralising protocols around identity discovery and mission flow which is provided through a modular UI. The Decentralisation of the autonomous vehicle system would however promote cooperation.

The DAV system allows new players to enter into the market, this would no doubt create distributed value and more interest in the transportation economy. The DAV decentralisation project would however provide an avenue for players to independently take actions in response to unfilled or poorly filled market needs.

OTHER BENEFITS OF DAV
The importance of decentralisation of automated vehicles cannot be overemphasised. The numerous challenges that has plagued the growth of the automated vehicles full implementation due to the centralisation of the system. Below are some solutions brought to fore by the DAV project.

Communication with other Participants
The DAV foundation aims to establish a decentralised communication between two or more participants which can be achieved through a common communication protocols. Communication is very vital since the vehicles are not handled by humans. This would also enable different entities from different manufacturers to communicate with each other.

Discovery and Exposure
Decentralisation of the system would definitely serve as a medium of exposure and discovery as different participants discover each other through the DAV decentralisation system. With a combined network which is open for new entries, different organisations can easily relate to each other for easier operations. This harmonic operation would however promote smooth operation as the interest for the growth of the sector is decentralised.

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE DAV PROJECT?
This project is beneficial to a number of parties. Firstly, the vehicle providers who would receive a consideration by making their vehicles available for the transportation and delivery purposes. The system cannot work without infrastructures such as charging stations, battery replacement equipment, docking and others. However, the providers of this infrastructures would definitely benefit from the project.

Service providers who would also provide maintenance services for the vehicles are also going to benefit from the project. Locating and retrieving lost or damaged vehicles will also be handled by these service providers and will earn them beneficial rights. Insurance companies, arbitrators and software developers are not left out in this project as all of them are going to put hands on deck to ensure the smooth operation of the system, and in return, get rewarded accordingly.

CONCLUSION
Centralisation of autonomous vehicles have belittled the growth of the system, this has caused a lot of drawbacks for the technological advancement of robotic services. The drawback is due to the fact that different organisations try to create an isolated network thereby building boundaries and walls around themselves, with the decentralisation system which is proposed by DAV, the growth of autonomous vehicles and robotic services is imminent.
