The mission of Composer is to more easily integrate blockchain applications with existing business systems. Composer can be employed to rapidly develop use cases and then deploy a blockchain solution in a matter of weeks instead of months.
Like other projects, Hyperledger Composer supports both the current Hyperledger Fabric blockchain infrastructure and runtime, and these support pluggable blockchain consensus protocols that guarantee transactions are validated as per policy only by selected business network participants. In addition, it’s possible for everyday applications to use the data from business networks, which means users will be provided with controlled access points.
Hyperledger Composer works in a myriad of ways, but one example is that of a business network which can be modeled as follows:
- Assets: houses and listings
- Participants: buyers and homeowners
- Transactions: creating and closing listings and buying and selling houses
In such a network, participants can have access to transactions restricted based on their role as a buyer, seller or realtor.
