The online advertising market is both lucrative and highly inefficient (as Vendio is eager to point out); it is also dominated by a few major players. Competing with giants like Youtube and Twitch will not be a simple task. However, the flaws in their respective advertising models have become widely recognised. VendiCoins stands a chance of carving out its own niche provided it can overcome the obstacles before it.
A rather unusual but minor obstacle is that the name Vendio already belongs to a different, better-known e-commerce company. Bigger hurdles are connected to the technology and the design behind the Video Interactive Platform. Would its algorithm really be as effective as promised in delivering relevant and unobtrusive ads? And will enough users flock to a new, unfamiliar video platform? The token reward scheme may provide a sufficient incentive to overcome the latter challenge.
