Intention Behind the Platform:

Datum seeks to give Power of Data back to the user. Everyone should be able to have a firm hold of their own data, and with monopolized super companies buying and selling data behind the user's back, it has made it hard for consumers to trust in systems meant to protect them.

With Datum, there is full transparency between consumer and agency. With the ecosystem itself as a firm liasion of trust and balance, there can be no deviation from the goal of providing consumers with high quality products (in every functional realm of life). There can also be no distrust on the part of companies seeking to provide this higher quality of life (for the world entirely), and with Datum, a happy medium will be reached.

The App Client

Datum will have an accessible client download [d]app of sorts which basically integrates decentralized fundamentals with reliance on centralized networks. The client itself will be immediately available on both Android and iOS platforms, and will allow the user to hone in on their own data and track both earnings along with numerous other vital reports. Eventually Datum seeks to present itself within automated systems such as vehicles and A.I. home assistants.

Utmost Transpraency Through KYC [Know Your Consumer]:

Datum seeks credibility above all, and the KYC method of branding users is how to create the most effective ecosystem possible (through transparency). The Datum network seeks to empower its users by allowing them to determine who gets access to their data, and in turn Datum requests users identify themselves from the start. For providing identification, there will of course be incentive. In essence, everything is incentivized on the Datum Network.

Economy and the DAT Token:

As stated in the WhitePaper, "[Datum] aims to provide entities such as researchers, companies or
individuals the most efficient and frictionless access to data while respecting the
data owner’s terms and conditions."

In being able to do such things, Datum is building an incentivized ecosystem that rewards both the user and the party (seeking user data) for their value on the platform. DAT token holders are described as the 'fuel' for the ecosystem, and in holding the DAT token, it makes them worth much more. When it comes to the worth of data, Datum seeks to provide users a benficial real world value that will entice them to actually provide their most sensitive details. With Datum, there is no secrecy and collusion, there is only the user giving data and being rewarded instantaneously for it.

Ease of Use:

With user permission, the Datum App can extract digital receipts, check card and credit card transaction data (from numerous banks and credit unions), and even construct accurate graphs for data pertaining to household shared devices (all the while differentiating work versus personal activities). The data accrued through user personal preference on the platform will help manufacturers, advertisers, and even financial analysts whom seek to help the consumer grow investments for the future. With this data, a higher quality of life can be achieved from all angles; with transparency and the users choosing what data to offer, one can experience the pinnacle of extreme personalization and comfort.
