Transaction Protocol
All transaction is governed by Martini's transaction protocol, which incorporates payment, arbitration and reputation management.
The payment contract keeps track of all the payments in progress, as well as any payments that went to arbitration. Buyer will send MTN tokens to the payment smart contract. Seller will perform on their agreed terms. When the the settlement date arrives, and no conflicts arise, the contract dispatches the tokens to the appropriate addresses. In case of a conflict, the entire sum of tokens gets held in a third arbitration address that the Martini provides.
Token lockup period in the contract depends on the specific good or service and is designed to be negotiated by both seller and buyer. When purchasing a modeling service, the designer should specify the service termination date, which symbolizes the settlement date; when a consumer buys a dress, the settlement date is then determined by the standard shipping days needed sending it from the warehouse to the delivery address.
In case of receiving broken goods or dissatisfying service(including but not limited to these scenarios), seller and buyer will be entering a dispute. Disputes will be arbitrated through voting process by MTN token holders. Similarly, the arbitration contract will release the arbitration payments once the arbitration protocol signals that the dispute is settled.
The reputation score of any user is backed by impartial algorithms predefined in smart contracts in Martini and accessible to the anyone in the fashion marketplace.

*While many other technical details have been contemplated for the platform we will be excluding them from thiswhite paper in order to allow us the flexibility in re-designing solutions.

THE MARTINI TOKEN
The Martini Token (MTN) will be a ERC20 compatible utility token of value that fuels the Martini ecosystem. Integrated within the MTN Token smart contract will be the utility function of a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), operating as the Martini ecosystem consensus platform, where it will enable future proposal voting based on the share of MTN Tokens held, in the case of selection of designers, policy modifications, etc.
Investments within the Emerging Brand Investment Module will strictly be limited to MTN Token. It will thus be the only available currency for making investments, representing the "entry ticket" into the world of individual-based fashion brand investment.
Transactions within the Marketplace will be facilitated using MTN Token. In exceptional cases, ETH and other tokens of value may be added as a payment vehicle, depending on popular demand and technical limitations, and only within the Marketplace.
