Hey guys,
I’ve got an especially interesting project to review today called Cloudbric, which has the pioneering vision of providing with a modern, secure and all-encompassing cyber security solution based on a decentralised structure. This is a mammoth task, of course, so will need to be backed by strong fundamentals if the project has a chance of achieving its goals- which we are about to analyse.
In this article specifically I will provide insight into the Cloudbric project in order to answers the two questions: ‘who’? And ‘what’? Namely, who are Cloudbric? And what are they trying to accomplish? Essentially, a detailed overall project analysis.
Quick disclaimer: this project, like all I review, is relatively new to the scene and is still under development (even though these guys have been operating for a while) so please always do your own research. Also remember this is my opinion and not financial advice; my content is for educational and entertainment purposes only.
Let’s jump in.
CLOUDBRIC’S MOTIVATION
Expected to grow to a whopping valuation of $165 billion by 2023, there is much to play for in the currently flawed cyber security industry. Cloudbric are well aware of the many deep-rooted problems which make effective cyber security in the modern world more than just a headache. The variety and complicated nature of modern technology use means that personal (and business) data is constantly at risk; every time you send an email, use websites or mobile devices, for example, you are trusting that the information being sent across such communication protocols is properly secure- however this is unfortunately rarely the case.
The time, effort and money required to test multiple products and (do the utmost to) ensure overall security for every device and service is simply not feasible for most individuals and small businesses- who can not afford to expend the vast time and resources to do so effectively. On top of this, the centralised nature of operation of traditional cyber security solutions means that their gathered threat intelligence data is not used for the best of its threat-identifying value.
Cloudbric are therefore calling for a new paradigm shift in the whole cyber security market focusing on transparency, efficiency and provide a layer of trust in security services (and their products) where currently there is none.
Now for the crucial question: do Cloudbric have the expertise and ability required to make translate their motivation into positive change?
TEAM DETAILS
The diverse Cloudbric team, headed by their notably experienced CEO TJ Jung, has a massive amount of experience in the field. Beginning their journey from solid foundations (as a venture of South Korea and the APAC region’s leading enterprise web security and data encryption firm, Penta Security Systems, Inc.), Cloudbric has experienced considerable growth owing to the impressive performance of the company over the past few years. Cloudbric have delivered impressive operations in the small and medium business niche especially, establishing their position as a primary and distinguishably driven industry player.
The varied and well-seasoned Cloudbric team thus far have proven their dedication with their persistent progress and commitment to working towards the best of the project for all people and players involved.
BLOCKCHAIN & AI BASED SOLUTION
Cloudbric are providing the tools for nothing less than a paradigm shifting transformation in the whole cyber security industry, bringing about an environment more focused on transparency, trust, and efficiency. These tools will be enabled through incorporating cutting edge technology into the Cloudbric network- from the foundation outwards, Cloudbric is built for the most drastic positive change.
DECENTRALISING THREAT DATA
What would a blockchain project be without an element of decentralisation? In Cloudbric’s case, it’s the decentralisation of gathered threat data which makes their solution a fundamentally better option than existing traditional cyber security solutions, which are innately limited by their centralised and disconnected databases.
The decentralisation of threat intelligence data would present a whole new transparent informational environment for cyber security companies, and for their customers. This way, not only can players in the space use this more complete pool of information to design increasingly effective solutions against cyber attacks and hacks, but this also enables previously unseen benefits for Cloudbric network participants. Users play a massive role in the functioning of the network, anonymously contributing the data which makes up the decentralised threat intelligence pool- and are financially rewarded with Cloudbric’s CLB tokens for doing so.
CLOUDBRIC (CLB) WALLET
For those active in the cryptocurrency space, the storage of crypto assets can be one of the biggest, and most important, headaches to deal with- the threat of lost or stolen funds is always present if the correct procedures and solutions are not used (and sometimes even when all is done apparently perfectly!).
In order to combat these issues, Cloudbric is planning to develop their novel secure Cloudbric CLB cryptocurrency wallet (with initial development planned for early 2019). The wallet will feature a range of benefits for the user, each designed to enhance the security of their funds and crypto management experience, including: multiple user-authenticated pass phrases (as opposed to a private key), end-to-end encryption communications, and Cloudbric’s Secure Web Gateway technology to help prevent fraudulent transfers.
Enhanced security of funds makes for enhanced confidence of cryptocurrency storage and usage, undoubtedly also making adoption for the general public a more enticing (and less scary!) prospect.
DEEP LEARNING MODULE: VISION
Artificial Intelligence is offering untold opportunities for disruption and improvement of many industries, and Cloudbric have been developing an innovative in-house deep learning engine designed for optimally effective cyber security threat detection.
The deep learning module powering Cloudbric’s solution is known as VISION, and is responsible for the magic behind Cloudbric: the intelligent and incredibly efficient sorting and distribution of threat data received from the network is all taken care of by the VISION module.
The mechanics of Cloudbric’s deep learning technology will be thoroughly explored in the upcoming third and final ‘How’ video on the project.
SPECIAL FEATURE
The Cloudbric project is generally notable for its beneficial mission and innovative approach. However, there is one thing which puts Cloudbric head and shoulders above- their rich first-hand operational experience.
SOLID ESTABLISHED COMPANY
Cloudbric’s token sale is actually what is termed a ‘reverse ICO’, reflecting their established position and operations. Unlike most teams behind ICOs, Cloudbric right from the offset have an incredible boost to both their credibility and ability, due to the amount of prior experience they’ve racked up in the cyber security field.
Not only have Cloudbric been an active player in the space, but have no less than excelled- winning multiple awards for their achievements, including ‘Hot Company in Web Application Firewall’ and ‘Best SME Security Solution’ from Cyber Defence Magazine and SC Magazine Awards Europe respectively.
This experience and measurable success so far inspires huge amounts of confidence in the team and their abilities, already having proven their incredible potential for positive change.
CONCLUSION
So there we have the ‘who’, and ‘what’ of the Cloudbric project. The who- a well-seasoned team of cyber security professionals who have already proven their impressive capabilities within the space through years of first-hand operational experience.
The ‘what’ is an innovative blockchain-powered decentralised cyber security network, designed from the ground up to facilitate a fundamentally more secure, efficient and transparent all-encompassing cyber security mechanism.
Cloudbric’s decentralised approach and innovative use of artificial intelligence, coupled with the team’s ability, is presenting the opportunity for a real paradigm shift in the cyber security industry- focused on benefits to network users rather than greedy corporations.
In my next article on Cloudbric we will be exploring the ‘why’ of the project- why is Cloudbric really necessary? And why blockchain?

Incredible, well done on the post very nice! In a sea of useless dapp ico's this stands out in a big way. Solid all round and huge growth opportunity.
