This is the tenth day of my 30 days challenge dedicated to crypto resources. Each day I will post a relevant resource (used by me, or recommended) and at the end of each post you'll see a list of all the previous articles.

Today I thought to bring you something on the learning side, a bit geeky, but nevertheless useful (or so I think).

It's an online demo of how the blockchain works, and you can find it at BlockchainDemo.io. It has a few nifty features, like:

  • connecting to a "peer" and seeing what kind of messages are usually exchanged
  • "mining" a block
  • identifying the structure of a block: hash, difficulty and nonce
  • adding data to a block

So if you are a beginner and words like "hash", "nonce" or "cryptography" are scaring you, just give it a try. It's not very complex and it won't take you more than a few clicks to go through all the operations, but it will be a nice learning exercise.
