Crypto Kitties are Launching Tomorrow, be the First to Grab your Own

I think once you get familiar with the blockchain, you tend to adopt it very quickly and forget what it was like to learn about it say 2 years ago. How strange it felt. How unfamiliar Steemit seemed at first like a landscape where advertisement blurred into the background because so many wonderful people were eager to share content about their lives, their interests. Where does the money come from was probably your first question. I still don’t really know the answer to that question but the way I see it, Steem is one Cryptocurrency out of many and given that it lives in this emerging ecosystem, there is room for it to print money in order to reward content. How? With mining Steem and Steem Dollars as well as to sell Steem Power as bonds so to speak.

All of this makes the blockchain very useful but many people have no idea Steemit even exists let alone how the blockchain might be useful to them. Enter Crypto Kitties, a simple yet ingenious game with a twist. It’s a Tamagotchi without the neediness; oh! and did I mention that you can breed them? Each Kitty comprises a 256-bit genome allowing for 2 Billion possible genetic expressions. They are cute, adorable even and they exist on the Etherium blockchain. While only 45, 000 Kitties will be released by the development team the possibility of breeding them ensures their survival.

OK first of all, that’s AMAZING, I am so stoked to see that more and more people are realizing that this is more than a fad, it is a way to teach people that decentralizing our money doesn’t have to be so scary. How can it be scarier than trusting a bank to handle it? Besides, they are so freakin’ cute, how are you supposed to even RESIST THEM. Ok so maybe I’m getting carried away. Maybe not. Who knows? Nevertheless I feel like your desire to get your hands on a rare Kitty is going to motivate a lot of people to join in the fun.
