TL;DR:

CryptoMarketAds is a decentralized ecosystem for a new kind of marketplace that aims at providing a viable solution to the many advertising and marketing problems of the cryptocurrency space by serving as an all-inclusive platform connecting crypto market advertisers and publishers (e.g. influencers) together in an almost unrestricted environment, overcoming such issue and the recent concerted banning of crypto ads by Google, Facebook, etc.

Background: The Problem

It’s no longer news that marketing and advertising have become one of the most important elements that determine the success of any blockchain project especially crypto projects, as a matter of fact in the recent times, we have seen how great the impact of negative press can be. I assume the many negative comments of some influential figures (I’m not interested in mentioning names) and its attendant negative impacts should have taught the entire crypto sphere the importance of good marketing.

Suddenly to make the matter worse, the hammer of BAN started coming down on crypto adverts on some leading platforms, with Google, Twitter and Facebook serving as the major actors of the season. These combined with other factors caused a lot of FUD all-round the entire crypto sphere leading to a major bear market which the crypto market is only just in the process of recovering from.

According to statistics, the average percentage of funds raised by ICOs spent on marketing is 21%. This means that the average spending on marketing for crypto projects was at around $20,744,092 in 2016 and $1.37 Billion in 2017 – an increase of 6544%, and then $4.48 Billion up until October 2018 – an increase of 225%. Keeping in mind an expected doubling of funding each year and a proportional market spending, we can project the spending on marketing to be roughly $10.5 Billion in 2019, $21 Billion in 2020 and $42 Billion in 2021. ~ CMA Whitepaper

Well, as discouraging and tough the BAN and the negative comments where, they were necessitated by the many and high-level activities of scammers, who in themselves took advantage of the high volumes of crypto project and ICO advertising in 2017, and using same adverts and marketing power to defraud and scam many unsuspecting crypto investors, through scam projects and exit scams.

Additionally, the ICO boom made it so easy to raise huge $millions of dollars, this, in turn led to; very expensive and highly overpriced crypto advertising and marketing, project teams found it really difficult to get the right and legit influencers and publisher for their project promotion because a lot of those who pretend to be influencers where merely spammers and scammers who took advantage of the fact that there was no escrow to help crypto projects guide against their nefarious activities.

Now, all these problems could have been mitigated by having decentralized blockchain platform(s) or marketplace by the crypto sphere for the crypto market. Platform(s) that connects crypto projects or bounty host together with bounty hunters, publishers and influencers in a secure, democratized environment powered by escrow which is totally outside the control and influence of any single centralized body. Such that it makes it easy for crypto project teams to connect and negotiate with experienced and professional bounty hunter/influencers in a seamless manner.

Thus, helping to; prevent the activities of scammers, increase the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing spending, remove reliance on centralized big corporations and help crypto advertising and marketing become self-reliant.

• When a sale is made, marketplaces earn a predefined markup in their native tokens or main blockchain coins
• Marketplaces pay sellers by converting their token, if necessary, into the main blockchain coin
• All payments to sellers by the marketplaces are only be made with the main blockchain coin

Decentralized Marketplace Builder (DMB)

The Marketplace builder will allow anybody to build their own new marketplace for goods and services on the CMA blockchain, using smart contract template, drag and drop system with options of adopting the native token of the blockchain or creating their own token on the blockchain, as the payment mode of their marketplace. However, the CMA teams stated in the whitepaper that this will only be built if the CMA ICO/IEO raised its hard cap i.e. if 5 Billion worth of CMA is sold.

CryptoMarketAds is charting a very interesting, crucial, and huge market and the fact that they already self-funded and launched their MVP is a plus. I also discovered that the project is already generating interest around the crypto community, with positive comments from some senior members on the BitcoinTalk forum. I’m particularly impressed that the current MVP, that is, the marketplace is working already and has received well over 400 offers for sale just in 6 weeks, according to the CMA team. I equally noticed that the team is quite responsive and active, if they maintain the current level of enthusiasm and dedication the project will achieve greater things.
