Should we tell FB not to bother?

Apparently Facebook are developing a cryptocurrency and blockchain. Would you buy it?

It looks like somebody at Facebook has woken up to the major threat that blockchain is to their greedy approach to business, extreme espionage and their laissez-faire approach to our private data.

I have a tip for them though, migrate to EOS and airdrop your shares to all FB accounts and EOS the token holders. Then maybe, just maybe...

Knowing their history, is it possible to expect that they'd suddenly change, decentralise their operations and play fair?

I rather think not.

Well, I think you're right. Hopefully the change will go too fast for them to adapt. Did you know Kodak had the first digital camera? They refused to put it out on sale because they didn't want cameras without film, which does make sense on a short time scale when you have a global monopoly on film sale. Still, today no one buys film anyway :D

I heard that about Kodak. They got everything they deserved. Same with the Nokias and other initial mobile phone manufacturers. Outsmarted by Apple and other android manufacturers. FB cannot adopt without starting afresh. Their time is done.

I must admit that I miss the suspense of going through the stack of newly printed photos wondering how they'd come off.

Haha! It did have its charm, that's for sure :)
