Could The Blockchain Replace Public Police?

This graphic highlights how a market in security and law could be advertised. And, how it could work. The service could run on the blockchain, where peers would buy directly without middlemen.

I'm not against the idea of some type of private security/police force. When it's treated as a service there seems to be less chance for such power to be abused.

There's accountability with an expectation of results in the market. Few people have that expectation with public police, since they have no choice but to accept their services.
