Why do we dream? Are we in a natural matrix?

Recently I have been learning about how blockchains function. I'm bipolar and in a manic state I thought I figured out why we have memories and dreams. I imaged our interactions with nature and each other mixed with emotion within a transaction. Then our neurons begin the vibrate at the same frequencies, like hashing an algorithm, and the transaction is then complete..but within Bitcoin mining...where does the reward of coins go. To an individual miner or a pool of miners? We then move to the next block aka memories. I think dreams could work the same. Again, mania creates some wild ideas.
