Must-watch for those interested in money, blockchain, smart contracts and the supply chain

I've just finished watching this and I think I'll have more to say when I've digested it, but it's one of the most exciting and inspiring conversations I've heard in this space in a long time. Far more worthy of your attention than another person's opinion about the bitcoin price or ICOs.

The two guys here are Scott Nelson from Sweetbridge and Vinay Gupta from Mattereum. They cover what the supply chain is (two-thirds of the global economy!), why modern commerce is so complicated and stagnating, and what Sweetbridge is doing to use blockchain to create liquidity and make everything much better for everyone.

At times the conversation settles into a repeated pattern:

Scott: "Complexity, complexity, complexity..."
Vinay: "Ah, interpretation, simplification, simplification?"
Scott: "Yes, but also complexity, complexity and scale... complexity"

That makes ti sound like Scott's trying to be obtuse. He's not, it just really is a huge and complex subject.

Listen along, it's an hour and forty minutes, but well worth it. I'm going to listen again when I get my breath back. There's also a transcript here for those whose eyes work better than their ears.

Disclosure: I've known Vinay for several years now and we're working together on the Internet of Agreements Conference at the end of next week.

Wow. My head is spinning. I feel really excited and a little baffled at the same time. Some of it I can see how it would work, and it blows my mind. The rest sounds like magic, but man, if it works, it will change everything. I'm going to go put my brain on ice now. ;-)

Heh, that was my reaction too. I don't think it's a coincidence that i could hardly write anything last week after watching this
