I've been working for a while now on helping Imogen Heap with her Mycelia project to create a system for artist-centred fairtrade music via the blockchain.
I've helped by facilitating the last two hack or "think & do" weekends in London. And I'm trying to get a little podcast going with people from the community talking about what they're doing and what they need to move forward.
In this episode Brian Hogg and I chat about the frustrations of not yet having anything tangible to work with, the potential for opening up the project internationally, Brian’s interest in metadata and creating global databases and the tension between centralised and decentralised models.
Brian makes a special plea at the end for some sort of distributed task management coming out of the project so that we can start spreading the work to those outside London or the UK.
